harmful hormones'

Chabercharberloo.

Endocrine system is a series of organs and glands that secrete hormones. Hormones are released into the bloodstream, control cell activities, and its effects take time and last long. There are different major endocrine organs in our body. Hypothalamus can be found in our brain but it also functions as an endocrine organ and it produces certain hormone manipulators (like growth hormone-releasing and inhibiting hormones) for release of growth hormone used in tissue development. Pituitary gland is also in the brain and it manufactured different hormones like oxytocin, for uterine contractions, and antidiuretic hormone, for water reabsorption of the kidney. Pineal is a part of the diencephalon in the brain but it has a sideline in fabricating melatonin that help us to sleep and wake up. Thyroid gland is found in anterior part of our throat and produces thyroxine (for cellular metabolism), and calcitonin (or blood calcium). Parathyroid gland is at the partner of thyroid in our throat as it is placed in the posterior part and it produces parathyroid hormone (for blood calcium). Pancreas is part of our digestive system and responsible for releasing insulin and glucagon (both for blood sugar). Adrenal glands are those like baseball hats on top of our kidneys and their hormones epinephrine and norepinephrine feel flight-or-fight response. Gonads such as ovaries and testes give out their hormones, too. Ovaries produce estrogen and progesterone for sexual reproduction and secondary characteristics. Testes give equality for them as it release testosterone for the early gonad hormones.

Eklaver.

How would i explain this? huh? uhm. let's see. i admit this is real hard. maybe i would show different effects of those hormones. :)

Shining Shimmering Splendid.

if i were the teacher, just let them do what they want in hormones. :) they may do some activities for easier remembrance of their names and functions, and let them stay interactive.
